I have family links with Myanmar, as well as a UK-based Burmese friend. I visited the country in 1993, and found the people to be the most gentle and gracious hosts. I am truly saddened by the news coming out of the country at the moment. I want to stand in solidarity with them in their fight for democracy. My Sea of (three finger) Salutes is made from biscuit.
